Hades. It is the toughest.

I already announced my retirement twice, yet here I am. If I bring up that topic again, don't believe a word.

That's not a bad ship. It is well armed.

That's old. It has some beam cannons, but only a few.
[EDIT]The Orion is one of my favourite FS ships, but despite I wouldn't serve onboard it.

My favourite destroyer is the Orion, but it needs about double the number of turrets, and lots and lots of flak guns to be halfway decent. Ooh, and a HTL version (with new texture job) wouldn't go hurt it...

did abit of a test like this in FRED a while ago. The Ravana always won unless flanked, with the Psamtik shape Vasudan second. The Hecate always got it's ass kicked by just about everything.

Hard to compaire the Hades as it originally didn't carry beams.
I voted Orion BTW.

Hatshepsut. I like it. IIRC it also has quite good forward weaponry.

Actually, why in the hell are capship beams splattered all around the hull in most FS capships? Stick big guns into the nose and maximize firepower. Like EAD Lindos.
lol wtf

I also go for the "vacuum cleaner".

Orion, because they are so cool and the fact they can lay waste to something in seconds (if the stupid gunners hit).

For me it was a coin-toss between the Orion and the Hecate. (I picked the Hecate.)

The Hades is dumb and Vasudan ships are just poopy. (I'll laugh if anyone picks the Typhon.)

Because the AI broadsides... and also if you get hit from the side, you're ship'd be screwed with forward weaponry. It's called balance. :p

I like the Typhon.  It's the most aestetically pleasing, hell on fighters and with a little retrofit,(twice the turrets and beams and all that goes with it) the match of any ship in the fleet
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

I'd pick the Hatshepsut, but I like to be on a terran ship so Orion.

The GTVA should really design a much shorter destroyer tailored for less speed, more manueverability and beams all facing forward.

And give it a new class name, like dreadnought or frigate.

The Typhon is the only destroyer that gives you a proper sense of scale when you're flying over it.

The Orion gives the same feeling on certain angles where you can see the lights (like the landing pads).  If the Orion got a reskin, it would be awesome.
