Big ship. Need big ideas. You help.
Thanks guys. I'm not completely sure where I'm going with this. Either Light destroyer (1.8 Km) or Corvette (1.5 Km). Or maybe I will say screw it and make a Juggernaught. There aren't any Vasudan ones, even if the Terran ones have been done to death.

And I'm sorry to say I don't really get that 'brainzzzz' reference that everyone's using... :nervous:  Probably from a show I wasn't watching when I was younger, eh?

It's a zombie thing (notice how zombies always have their arms outstreched?)

At 1.5km you might want to think about calling it a frigate rather than  a corvette too.

Ah. It makes sense now. And the picture is funny now. :p

Anywho. Maybe 1 KM?

If I make it too large, then the massive fighterbay on the underneath will become a huge space-dock. :p

If It becomes Juggy sized, it'll be big enough to launch cruisers... >.>

I think the 800m-1.2km range sounds about right.  I'd avoid making up a new class for it unless it has some distingusihing features about it, personally.  And don't make it a jugg, the engine block is way too big for that.

That said, if it goes to corvette, what happens to the fighterbay?  Does it become a single wing hanger like the Moloch, or does it get removed altogether?

Uhh... I'm keeping it.
So perhaps a single, or maybe 1 bomber wing, 1 fighter wing.

800 m ship with hangar like is on picture is too smal. 4 bomber wing will not place flying it out.

Considering that the Ursa is 50m long it is actually a little cramped but if you have fighters stationed on board that would work better.

A corvette shouldn't be launching bombers anyway.

I truly believe I am doing this model a horrible injustice.
These textures don't look bad. But they need alot better UV mapping than I think I'm capable of giving it with my limited attention spa..err.. I mean time I spend working on it.

make the texture with those big squares on it more tiled...it comprimises the size somewhat...well...to me that is...

It's awesome looking so far Raa!

...reminds me of the Hades somewhat...a vasudan super destroyer maybe?

It looks... dangerous, but in a kind of subtle, curvy Vasudan way.

Keep telling yourself that. I'd try Sobek or Hat textures if I were you. Or if you wanted to get crazy, Mentu. That just looks... ack.

Actually i think those Typhon textures fit the ship pretty good....at least better than the honey-comb-tiles-of-death. Of course completely new textures would look even better.
Keep it up

I'm sick of those strange plated tiles. I like the Typhon textures. And I think that if I do it right, it will look really good. The hard part is doing it right, though. ;)

you could try to replace texstures:
capital03-01 place where is capital03-01 and where was capital03-01 put one of sobek or hat main texstures.

The problem see with the Typhon maps is that they look like Arcadia textures color-shifted to brown.  If this thing had a complex shape that hid the repetitions (as the Typhon does from most angles) and the plating lines somehow followed the lines of the ship, then they would work.  But for the organic-looking nose, something else is in order.  I think it calls for a custom map, personally, though I can certainly sympathize with the lack of time/ability to do one.
