Trashman we don't underestimate technology.
It is simply that training is just as important as technology. The fact that the only thing a soldier can always trust is himself and his brains - the rest are tools.
Now, if you invade a country and your toys srewed up, you just say: "I can't do it without them, I quit!" - in the middle of the jungle than you'll earn some pretty troubled looks from your warbuddies.
Technology is nice and good, but just as Vietnam, Korea, and recenlty Iraq itself has prooven it, it's advantage is way overrated.
