Better armour can't hurt...... if you can increase the chances of a soldier surviving an attack - be it sniper, infantry, explosive, etc - then you decrease the effectiveness of those attacks as a tactic.  Of course, it has to be matched with training as well.  

There's a reason the SAS are the best in the world, and it isn't equipment.

But if you don't have skills you are dead for sure even you have high tech armor

America got a wake up call regarding it's airforce recently during some trials against the kind of planes they would be facing in several world conflict situations. Training & skill are important, but a guy in such a armor has a huge advantage.. I mean, SUV's and other squad members are sending data to him..you can't sneak up on him, he can see you behind a wall or in the dark, etc, etc..

Trashman we don't underestimate technology.

It is simply that training is just as important as technology. The fact that the only thing a soldier can always trust is himself and his brains - the rest are tools.

Now, if you invade a country and your toys srewed up, you just say: "I can't do it without them, I quit!" - in the middle of the jungle than you'll earn some pretty troubled looks from your warbuddies.

Technology is nice and good, but just as Vietnam, Korea, and recenlty Iraq itself has prooven it, it's advantage is way overrated.

Problem is, I think the US Army, and armies all over the world (NOT just the US) is too concerned with percents and not training.
Although I admit this will give US soldiers and possibly their allies a definate advantage, if it works like they say it will.

Of course it's incredibly important. I just said that a combat system like this is a huge advantage. Not only protection wise, but detection wise allso.

A normal soldir in this armor could probably kick a SAS ass.

Then again, a Delta Force member in a armor like this and you have a lean, mean fighting machine.....

Technology is only useful in controlled environments.

Technology doesn't always garauntee a victory; only the type of soldiers you send always does.

Until someone makes EMP-Weapon

and middle of battle field high tech armor are somewhat useless
without skills

SAS are Special force they have far better training than normal soldier and SAS use tactics like going silent and eliminate targer from distance etc.

Normal soldiers just trained that well
