to get computers into regional communities so that people can be trained into his systems --- once most people learn how to use one type of operating systrem it is extremely difficult for them to learn a second one ----   don't fool yourself by thinking he'[s being altruistic, he's trying to propagate the market for his software _and_ can write of 80 million dollars from his taxes
