I saw Hero tonight and I'd just like to say that I thought it was absolutely amazing. I'd definitely recommend it to just about everyone. I thought that the images were amazing, even if the dialogue was not fantastic. The words were not important because the pictures on the screen spoke for themselves. One of the reviews I read of it called it poetic, and that's exactly what it was.:yes: from me.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Is the theatrical release in Mandarin or do they have dubbing?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Mandarin with subtitles. Like Crouching Tiger.

Good. The dubbing in these types of movies is usually bad(I saw 5 minutes of the dubbed version of Crouching Tiger and thought it was terrible).

hero.  hell yeah :D

it's amazing how long it takes some movies to be officially released in the US.  i mean i remember Iron Monkey.  that movie was released a good 10 years after its release in the rest-of-the-world :p

Yeah Hero was (is) a great movie.  if anyone's interested in seeing it, let me know

Hero was alright in my oppinion. But to be honest it was a bit long winded. I preffered Crouching Tiger more than this. I dunno why. I watched it in the movies here when it came out, and I did like the lovely colors and crapload of arrows, but still. It was just too "Oh now this is the moment you're supposed to feel emotional. And now is the moment your suppose to think about the ways of the world." I dunno. It was alright like I said. Acting was good, plot was ok. but still...
I have returned... Again...

Watch for the lens colours, they are very important, each colour represent a different emotion, love, hate, greed, truth etc, it makes the story all the more interesting :)

Hero is already out on DVD in China. If you go there and try to bring back a DVD of a movie that has not been released in this country and get caught by customs, they will give you a very big fine. It is pretty easy to get around that though.

already? it was on dvd before it was released in theatres here in sweden, and that was years ago.

I'm still hunting for a completely "uncut" version of it.

what's that bs about dvd's getting caught in customs, though? got a source to back it up with? I thought dvd regions were just the movie companies way to **** us customers over and over again.
