That's not american, for it's too small. Yet, imagine a tank with an army knife attached to the gun mount..."Surrender or we'll disassemble your gear! Just have to find the correct tool before you bomb us...".

Now that could work.

Edit : you could also attach this to a grenade - THAT would hurt. All those tin openers, spoons, knives, woodsaws and ballpens...

shoot someone.
wip the knife out of the  handle grip and carve out the bullet.
use the spoon to scoop it out.
use the assorted tools available to recast the bullet and refill the caseing and but the bullet back into the caseing.
shoot the guy again.
