I'm thinkin' the reverse.  The right end of it seems to be too small for engines to be placed there.  This seems to gather some design elements from the Mullock, which has spikes sweeping back rather than forward.  Regarding that ventral stub thing... is that supposed to be a fighterbay, like the off-the-main-hull one on the Ravana, or an engine pod, a la Colossus?  It has potential (not that I myself have any modeling skills), but I think in its present form, it might suit LOD1 or 2 rather than LOD0.  The main hull and spike arms need more sharp angles and edges, rather than the smooth contours.  I also suspect that some areas of the hull haven't been textured yet... where the jet-black sections are.

I wish people would stop making the shivans terran. They're aliens. They don't need a reason to have cool or dark, or diverse technology!

I personally don't see the point in the SOC having any kind of special ships period, other than in weapons loadouts.  I mean, how does it do you any good to come in with your own special ships if you're black ops?  Anyone sees and records your specialized configurations, and your future black-ops missions are not so secret.  The entire point of the SOC is to perform covert operations; they may use the best of Terran technology but they still have to mount it in something that looks conventional or they blow their secrecy.

That said, there's nothing remotely SOC-like in that ship.  Not bad Shivan, but certainly not anything more specialized than a Moloch.

I agree 100% about the SOC thing. And I'm sick of it, too. All these "I'm going to texture it dark and call it SOC' crazes are rather annoying. SOC ships are supposed to be future tech, not specialized tech. It's what the fleets are going to get next year, mainly...

Yeah, i know. I just remembered all that commotion about people making darker ships. And when i looked at it, all  dark and ****, i thought of SOC! I was just teasing.

I already knew that. But one ship shouldn't make everyone change the way things are done. Especially not an ugly one like the Erinyes.

Actually the black comes from the Artemis D.H., if you want to get specific, perpetuated by the Banshee fighter.  The Erinyes is a main fleet ship by the end of FS2.

I just picked a texture and slapped it on the entire mesh, and it came out like that!
But it doesn´t look half bad, if you ask me. Wich you didn´t...
