I love these sort of quotes, same as the ones about Duke Nukem Forever too and you see people spouting this crap all over the internet all the time. Cause quite frankly, you KNOW you're going to rush out and buy Half-Life 2 regardless of how long it takes and no matter what delays valve decide to do.
What frequency are you getting? Is it noise or sweet sweet music? - Refused - Liberation Frequency.

Well, at least HL2 latest screenshot isn't dated 1999...

Actually, I probably won't.  Of course, this is a combination of both lack of a system that could do it justice and lack of money in general.  But I probably still wouldn't, the desire just isn't there.  Not when I have a half dozen other games higher on my "must buy" list ahead of HL2.

I'm a little confused about Half-Life 2. If I get it, I want to install it on the computer in my room because it has the best specs, but no internet connection. Now if Half-Life 2 uses Steam, is it even possible to use it on a computer with no internet connection?

Of course.  It'd have to be, or it'd get a kicking.

Yep. From what I understand, you can download it via Steam and have constant support and updates that come as and when Valve puts them on Steam. Or you can buy the game on CD and update via Steam or patches or something when you need to.

Me, I'm going with CDs. I prefer something "solid".

Same here. I want some physical evidence that I have the game, not some lousy Steam cache file.
