Can't belive that someone found that old thing and dig it up ^_^
About textures...yes it should get some good textures and the turrets shouldn't be part of the model so that they can rotade.
Its realy a very old model..nearly the first I have ever made.
Lets see if you can get it running with a nice UV map and turrets and other stuff.
About the turrets...in the original model each turret had 3 beams ^_^
It was an beamweapon overpowered ship.

Beside that it was never intendet to be anything FS...a just for fun design.
Reminds me that I still got a B5 Model of a custom ship somewhere...should ask the TBP guys if they want it...still the model us buggy as hell.

It's me Star Dragon... I was one of the first to DL your Model dump remember (the Saturn became a generic Gundam Whitebase)...

I don't know if you remembered Demo Dragon but This was your Frigate model... 2 years ago I was messing with the idea of a robot mod based on 70's super robots and needed LIVING opponents, I think this looks nice..

If that was what I think it was its heavly changed...but still nice ^_^
About all the other old things...can't remeber what I put in that dump...most things I have deleted after that.

Absolutely NOTHING was physically changed (I never alter models remember).. It was simply replacing the texture maps you mapped out.

Yeah like 90% of them I deleted cause I couldn't do anyhting with them at the time. (they were in max format mostly & untextured).

However there was lots of good stuff in there...

Let me see if I can find some more goodies in my old conversion attempt folders (I have like several WIP folders from over the years)

Yup these wheir my designs...maybe you should post them without textures...I think they are to confusing ^_^
Compared to the Hellcat I did with Lynx and other Wing Commander models these are awfull...but its funny to see them again.

If you seen the show I think you's agree there is a slight (but unintentional) similarity to one of the early designs.

. True the texturing needs a bit of work, but just because it is not shaped like a Shivan ship does not mean it is not good. You can always use it for another race.

The front part of that Septerra ship reminds me of a crossing between "Alien" and a D'Deridex Warbird, while the wings look like a fighter from one of the Wing Commander games (WC4?).

Saturn...can't even remeber that ship...made the Uranus..but Saturn...mh.
Beside that I found other stuff in a long not used folder while browsing my old stuff ...man the models are lowpoly...but interesting ideas...maybe I should do some modeling as soon as Wing Commander Saga and my real life dosn't consume my time.

IIRC I dumped both of those in modeldump 2. The 'dragon' was a Shivan ramming frigate I was working on for OtT called the Andhaka (I believe), the Saturn was a Sol destroyer for Reciprocity 2 ( a convuluted and long story) made primarily with Orion textures.
