this is why noone should buy microsoft products, espcially win xp, its all a plot by bill to install internet connections into fridges and tvs so he can TAKE OVER THE WORLD, advice: all ive ever heard is how much better win 2000 is than xp, i use xp pro so i dont know if it is true, all i know is that some old games i want to play cant run on it and i have to use my old comp running 98 to play them. games are x-com and red alert off the top of my head, red alert works but i cant play over the lan.

yeah, i'm waiting for that too.  but in the meantime, XP's fine for me.  never had any major problems with it... OK yeah i have, but the benefits outweigh the side-effects i think  *shrugs*... hope for longhorn.

Kazan, you didn't even post in this thread before I did; why are you *****ing at me?  I was not aware that there was some way to legally use XP without activation, but at any rate, from the tone of an0n's posts, I took his case to imply piracy, and I stand by my statement.  If his copy was not pirated, then my statement does not apply.  Don't make something out of a non-issue.
