I love it! And that's saying a lot since I think that the Hectate is one of the most poorly designed ship in the game.

The only thing is the 'atennas'. They do look nice though that may be changing too much.

I wasn't hiding. I was temporarily disconnected.

Aeolus: Well, I released the hull mesh I created for someone with better UVing and texturing skills to work on, as I'm not too hot on those areas...
I might attack it at some point, maybe...

while the final result looks surely pretty nice, I subscribe what Bob said + I have to say that it looks a bit too terran with all those hard edges. I mean, shouldn't be a terran/vasudan design?

It was to be the pinaccle of shipbuilding and had quite a lot of vas. tech in it - as all Capella era ships do-but it was also supposed to unit the best aspects of both design philosophies.

you do need to work on your greebleing techniqe, don't just extrude exsisting polys cut exsisting polies into parts that obscure them.

Yes...well...umm...my modeling technique is poor.  Frankly, I suck.  I get the same kinda scared around MAX, Lightwave, and Maya like I get around advanced math, full-on adrenal fight/flight reflex.  My mind shuts down and I can't make sense out of it.  I can't help it, I'm a gigantic coward.

Yeah, sure. It's easy to criticize, but I don't see you making any high poly ships.
