In my short time here at HLP, I've noticed hilarious and disturbing things, started posts or brought up or old ones (mischieviously!), and have still been in the dark about FreeSpace 2, after my disks died years ago, but anyway...

Things I've noticed so far (correct me if I'm wrong):

1.  An0n is scary.
2.  Most of you people are adults who are American or European
3.  All the good meetings regarding FS/FS2 are in Europe.
4.  There aren't that many musicians here.
5.  Down with Derek Smart! Or did that happen already?

My questions so far:

1.  Was Carl always a Shivan and Raa a Vasudan or was that a result of FreeSpace Jeopardy (which I consider one of the funniest posts ever)?
2.  Where do you adults get all the time to all this gaming?
3.  How many of you contributed to the missions on Silent Threat? You won't believe the spelling mistakes I found...
4. I forgot, why didn't Volition produce FS3? Something to do with Interplay...?

1. I dunno. Haven't been here long enough.
2. Lack of sleep, in my case. 'Course, college students are supposed to keep irregular hours. (Sleep is for the WEEK. Freespace is for the WEEK ENDS.)
3. Nobody, that I know of. Otherwise the boards would have  flamed them into oblivion by now.

• Carl being a Shivan goes back the days of the VBB and thus, I doubt anyone remembers why he was labelled thus. Raa became Vasudan recently. It was a painful operation similar to a face-lift, only with more hot glue.
• We are, for the most part, unemployed losers or working for companies with low job satisfaction and unsupervised internet connections.
• No idea. The people involved have probably long since moved on. I think Dark mighta had something to do with it, but I ain't at all sure.
• Interplay owned all the rights to the series and had parted company with Volition. Being dicks, they simply flat-out refused to do anything with the license/franchise.

4. I forgot, why didn't Volition produce FS3? Something to do with Interplay...? --Interplay holds the rights to the franchise, Volition doesn't. Therefore, Volition can't make a game without infringing on copywrite, and Interplay refuses to sell the rights (at least, so far).

Judging from what i´ve seen, i must be the oldest guy here... 31.
And the only reason why i have time to play FS is because my current job is polishing a seat with my butt! It´s really shiny and polished now, btw.
