OK, FYI, I'm from Holland.
If you mean with "coalition of the willing" that we'd come to Iraq, check the bloody list, there are around a 1000 troops there already. If you mean that we'd start throwing everyone with a islamic name out of the door, you're wrong.
Short summaray: (copy'd from my WS post)
A film maker is spouting crap about the Islam, has done so for ages.
Guy gets shot, a note pinned to his chest with a knife, nutcase Dutch/Maroccan (two passports) seems to be the killer.
Major demonstrations against the violence, Muslims and Christians march together against extremism on both sides.
Schools, churches and mosques get attacked, ranging from fully fledged arson, to fireworkbombs that are thrown by the odd bored youth that'd do it with or without a religious reason. White power **** is painted on some of the burned down Islamic schools.
The president gets off his lasy arse and yellls something about non-violence. Mass ignore has been on for years.
The queen actually comes out in public, without some monstrosity covering her head, so we know it's serious. She says something about peacefull integration as well.
All the Dutch papers are full about integration, extremism, and violence.
Around the school in Eindhoven that got bombed, a demonstration is held. Locals form a 'human shield' around the school. People from the city board join, local primary schools allow students to go, large display of people.
The the Hague thing was just not timed very well. They were busting a 'terrorist cell', and someone threw a grenade. Then, they called in everything from the marines to SWAT to the marine variant of SWAT.
The president went to the celebration of the end of Rammadan (sp?), and voiced the need of tolerance. All in all, there is quite a resilience in society against the extremists.
