Anyone seen this movie yet?  I just got back and I really enjoyed this movie.  It is very entertaining, with a good plot and decent acting.  Go see this movie, it's well worth the 7 bucks.

I might as well. It looked a little...bad....when I saw the previews, but maybe i'll give it a shot.

It sucked, big time. Stupid, boring, a rip off of all the other good adventure movies, and definately very cliched and kiddiesh.

I thought it was stupid as hell, but reasonably entertaining.

No, not at all.

That's possibly why it sucked so much. It was predictable, cliche and way-over disneyfied. To be honest though, I wasn't expecting much going into it. I'm just sad that I didn't see Alexander instead.

In my opinion, decent movie if you don't think. If you think, the suspension of disbelief is ruined, and you start thinking "Why the hell did the city of New York not find a giant vault underneath Trinity Church while building a subway or something?"

But again, not bad. Beats some things I've seen. Should have just waited to see it on TV though....

Yeah, I guess you could say it was okay, but in a rental sort of way, not so much theatre.

its sad whats happening to the movie industry. it looks like im gonna have to do what i did with my music and get it from international sources. so il stop watching american made movies and watch foreng ones instead, at least untill tarantino puts out his next movie (i think hes doing a wwii era war movie, cant wait to see his take on nazis).

I like Nic Cage as an actor, but yeah, I'm not expecting too much of it. Might still watch it, I'll be curious and bored in the holiday period before I go to Malaysia. ;)

Alexander hasn't got great reviews either from either the critics or people who have seen it.

Alexander looks way, way to Hollywoodized.

Wow, a treasure map at the back of the Declaration if Independence. Our founding fathers must have a lot of time on their hands with Britain and all.
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.

Read reviews and decided not to see it. So shoot me.

Disney seems to be churning out B-movies nowadays...

I'm sorry, but any way you cut it, I think America still makes the best movies. Have you ever seen Sholin Soccer? :D You can't judge an entire industry based on bad movies made by a couple bad studios (such as Disney).

My favorite part was when Nick Cage was climbing up a ladder, and a guy 20 feet standing still and aiming with a silenced pistol couldn't hit him, yet managed to hit a one-inch wide pole 3 inches away from him.

My history teacher wants to see it just so she can see history butchered so badly and get really pissed about it. Haven't seen it myself though...
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

You know, it almost seems like a strange combination between a parody of conspiracy theorists and your standard action movie, combined with the Disney requirement for a happy ending.

The mere thought of such a combination strikes fear into my heart.

Of course not. Troy taught me that Hollywood doesn't ever follow history, or even other stories correctly, but at least it's still Alexander the Great, and it can't be worse than National Treasure.
