And to think that I just started reading Dante's Inferno in English...

Who says that you have to "serve" in heaven? Or for that matter rule in hell?

Which strangely was funnier than anything Pratchett ever did on his own (and I was a fan of his earlier work).

Good Omens is actually one of the best books I've ever read on the subject of armageddon if you willing to look below the surface

There are a lot of very interesting arguments in it. Sadly most people don't get beyond the all tapes in a car turn into The Best of Queen as far as interesting conundrums go

I actually prefer Gaiman's solo works to the novel though. American Gods is a very impressive novel....

Basically he is saying that by reigning hell he is going to prove the bible is wrong. By proving the bible is wrong he will not have the limitations in hell described in the bible, and from there on...

Why? That fact would be consistent with statistics about how many Christians there are in the world. If anything, it's a lot more balanced than I expected.
