It's the crossbreeding part that scares me, of course.

Ah, but the Valar aren't in Middle Earth are they? They all went off to...damn, I know this....the other continent past Numenor (or where Numenor was, rather.

The world is called Middle Earth

ERGO, valinor  (the undying lands, home of the gods on Earth) IS part of middle Earth

I second that motion for Valar, (Istari are too weak barely demi-gods).. Me thinks I'd be either MELKOR  (Sauron's Boss), or Thulkas?(SP?) that strong fighter god that whooped ass!

I think Dragons only have treasure hordes to attrack various hobbits and adventurers, for either company or food.

I mean, how many dragon shops do you see nowadays?  And it's not like heating is a problem.

In fact, maybe if people didn't nick there treasure, dragons wouldn't need to be hunted - they could just go down the kebab shop for an extra spicy donner rather than have to go and chew on a local maiden.

lol. Those are fake dragons though, we're talking about the real ones duh.

Dragons are pure evil. They kill the people whom the treasure belongs to first, then it becomes theirs. :p

Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Dragon seems like a nice choice, as does a Ranger, or perhaps Rohirrim.

The world is called Arda. "Middle Earth" and "Aman" (where the land of Valinor is found) are just continents.

That apart, I'd be an Ent.

If we're going to be anoraks about it, it's "Middle-earth". Note the capitalisations.

Regarding Valinor, it and Tol Eressa (the Lonely Isle) were removed "from the circles of the world" after the downfall of Numenor.  Picture them as on the tangent line of a circle, heading off into space.  When any normal person tried to sail west, they'd simply find that Middle-Earth was round and would circle the world.  However, the Elven ships would be able to take "the straight path."  The end result is that, while Valinor and Eressa are technically of this world, they're not really a part of the normal world.  At any rate, they're a part of Tolkien's world, so I'm saying they're valid. :)

Given the choice, I would like to have been Earendil.  In general, I would like to be one of the Vanyar, the highest kindred of Elves who remained in Valinor.  For partying, though, no one beats the Hobbits. :D

P.S.  Yes, I know, I'm too obsessed for my own good. :p
