No, I don't assume that. I assume that you think you're so high up on your moral post, that you refuse to admit that someone might have a legitimate reason for supporting the opposition, other than, according to you, trying to make the US into a pseudo-nazi Germany.

Take Liberator, for instance. I don't agree with him, in fact, I'm vehemetly opposed to any of his views. But unlike you, I don't go around accusing him of being "brainwashed" by his father, or trying to turn the US into a fascist country.
