I will learn TS and start to design woefully underarmed, slow and fragile cruisers as a protest. None of them will have any use whatsoever, plus they are completely useless against anything even remotely Shivan.

Plus, they're expensive and really rare, still rarely if ever used in frontlines.

its 50 years after capella! besides, so long as EVERY ship and EVERY weapon and EVERY system (etc) is this powerful and this 'unbalanced' as you put it, its still fine. gameplay would be much different, but heavier weapons are cancelled by heavier armor, etc.

so, in reality, so ong as you are COMPLETELY CONSISTANT AND MAKE SURE ALL SHIPS AND WEAPONS ARE EQUALLY POWERFUL, i forsee no problems.

That's exactly my point - in order to even make this feasible, he's going to need to replace almost every single ship in FS2 with newly balanced replacements.  And we all know what happens to understaffed, mod-heavy projects, don't we?

Well I didn't ment for you guis to make me these ships...!
I just asked for some helps with the specs....that is all so stop bumping me all over the board....man.....!
Yes I know how big this is and I know that the chances of making such a campaign are 1% to none.....but still the campaign plot would be usefull for smaller projects (mini-campaigns) 4-5 misions long which would only see the apearence of 2-4 new ships......that is all...I mean god.....there are over 50 new ship designs..in this freeking campaign.
And it is not uber look at me indestructable destroyer..on the contrary....the main weakness of this thing is the A.I. as it is sesitive to em..charges..soo no nebula actions for this ship...(remember the mision where you have to act in the nebula storm to rescue that dude....aa.....I forgot which one was it...!
As..for making them I will make them if it takes me years....just to complete the models....!
This huge campaign could be split in 3 or 4 campaign a bit smalle then the FS2 main campaign.....!
I'm talking just about the end of the story....not the entyre history....!
As for the bommbers.....well some of them could be taken from the already existing campain's..out here remodel thm a bit add some new skins.....some extra points of armour and shielding.....the same goes for the weapons...soo..not that big of a deal......I mean after 50 years the backbone of the Fleet is still provided by Hecate MK1 and 2 for most of the campaign story...not to mention Orions....mk 1, 2,3.....!
Oki so I know the 2 and 3 variations will have to be heaveli remodeled..but you still have the original to start with...!
But enough of this...I said what I have to say.....I dont care if someone wants to make them or not the moment I will have a ship model I will post it..in the mean time......you guis cand do what you want....!

AlphaOne, it may be great and all, im sure, but the purpose of cap ships in FS2 serve three purposes and three purposes only:

for the player to save
for the player to destroy
to add depth to the game

If if does not serve all three purposes, there is no purpose of it being in FS2 period. Thats why, you must understand, these ideas dont rub well because everybody wants their uberindestructiblesuperawesomefirepowership and you are leaving the player out of the equation.

Unless you want a cinematic game where the player watches big battles with a dynamic view, then scrap these ideas and come up with something usefull.

how about a NEW FIGHTER with 43 SHIVAN SUPER LASERS and 562 BFREDS! It'll have the armor of 10 SATHANII, shields of 900 SATHNANII, and just one can make the whole universe go supernova! It's maximum speed is 1000m/s, with an after burner speed of 99.9999999499999% the speed of light! it can make one complete turn in 1/4 of a second! And it's stealth so no one can see it! there will be 30 of them in each wing.
