Headlines like that are what people read, not the entire article. He could have said:
"(INSERT NAME) or (INSERT SOCIAL GROUP) believes that the tsunami was the US's fault" because guess what the title sends across to the readers?
"This is obvious bull**** and I'm not going to read it" and so I didn't.
So you're lazy, couldn't be bothered to check your prejudices were correct and then spouted off about how crazy the author was and that's somehow his fault?
Newspapers (with the exception of certain tabloids) are written with the expectation that the story will be read rather than commented on by simpletons. Simply admit you made a mistake rather than making yourself look even more foolish by attempting to blame someone else for your lack of foresight.
