Havent read the book but I've heard its a work of fiction based around several organisations that are less than transparent?

I take it freemasons are involved then?

It was an OK book. I don't know why everyone is gong nuts over it, like its the pinnacle of human achievement or something. I guess its what the great unwashed masses consider a "smart read"..

One of the several books I've read entirely on my computer.

meh, it was okay. Angels & Demons (one of his other books) could wipe the floor with it easily.

I haven't read it, and I know most of it is hogwash.  Might be a good story, but it's mostly made up.

I know there is a method, but all I see is madness.

Da Vinci Code is about the Knights Templar. Angels & Demons is about the Illuminati... ;7

My problem with Angels & Demons was the ending. I mean, it was good, but I felt like it was a bit of a sell-out. A plot twist, sure, but a sell-out nonetheless. I'm just hoping Da Vinci Code doesn't do something similarly stupid.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

main reason I like Angels & Demons:
Spoiler:
Langdon jumps out of a freakin' helicopter with just a pansy tarp instead of a parachute and he lives! Now come one, that's awesome.

The plot and whatever is nice but that ^ just takes the cake for me. Carry on.

Yeah, that and
Spoiler:
when the Camerlengo goes up in flames and everyone's like "whoa..."

Why would people think that? Does it go in the non-fiction section?

oh, i had a friend who argued with this random person who was like, yeah, Christianity (by the way the 'church' in that book was the roman catholics, don't label all of us the same way) sucks, look at this book the da vinci code, it proves the church is evil and woman-hating! which it isn't, by the way. i reckon feminism is just another way of being sexist.

I'm Spartacus!

Seriously though, it seemed ok, I can never get into 'real life' books anyway, it's bad enough having X-Files trying to convince people that they may be the only indigenous person on the planet ;)

Templar Revelation.

I'll keep posting it until someone bites you know. And yes, the church is quite sexist thanks to yon old fisherman.

Haven't read it and won't never read it. Generally most fiction written these days is just utter  IMO.

Same thing, freemasonry came into being shortly after the Knights Templar were outlawed around 1300. The Roslyn family was head of Scottish freemasonry for something like 300 years, with the builder of the chapel William St. Clair being its Grandmaster.

Icespeed: Would you opposition to it have anything to do with the fact you're a christian? As for the Church being woman-hating, it'd mightn't be such but Christianity definitly teachs women are inferior to men.
