I think the FS1 Alpha one would win if they would use the same fighter, because he defeted the Shivans with far less advanced fighters than Alpha 1 form FS2 and fought the Shivans 3 times without shields.

And the FS1 one lost only Jumppoints while FS2 one lost a whole starsystem

That's something I don't like in FS2 they only ever talk of the Sol - Delta Serpentis node, never about the Deneb or Beta Aquile ones.

Welcome to FS1 Interstellar Plot Holes 101.  As far as FS2 is concerned, those nodes don't exist.  On V's official maps, they don't exist.  A lot of nodes only exist in FS1 command briefings.

In other words, the GTA blew up those nodes as well, possibly a lot earlier in the war, to keep the Shivans out.

No, the GTVA didn't have the technology in FS1 to destabalize a node.  Something about the Lucifer explosion destabelized the other nodes into Sol, or they never existed at all.

I doubt it. From what I've seen, a big boom will collapse a node. The Lucifer collapsed the node by blowing up.

Nope.  There's more than one in one of the FS1 command briefings... which is, of course, at odds with every mention of Sol in FS2 and, I believe, in ST.

So what do we believe?  The older source or the ones made after :V: released an official node map with only one sundered Sol node?
