Nevermore - Final Product.  Newest from them, theres an MP3 of it on century media's website.  It has a sort of death metal vibe (especially that part 2 minutes or so in, i don't know what kind of effect they use on the bass) with Warrel Dane using his high-pitched voice ala Halford/Diamond (I really should get mercyful fate)

And I have to say I dn't get on with Trivium and all that kind of metalcore stuff. Too much shoutyness and angst, not enough tunes.

Thomas Tallis probably the biggest name in Renaissance choral music, so you can find him at any store with a real classical section. And "Spem in alium" is one of his most famous works, so it's in a lot of collections. It's got that quintessential English bittersweet sound to it.

's not so great in the opening, but the middle of the song holds me.
