I just felt like doing a small schematic pic, and what better mod to render than the 6-Gunned Herc 2 by Culando? Check it out.

 

Download it if you miss your guns from the original Herc. Requests for mods in the database to be rendered, anyone?

wish i could work out how volition did all those wireframes fading into textured models and glows appearing everywhere without spending ageseses fiddling around with numbers.

or maybe there isn't and i'm just plain lazy

This was probably a simple use of ModelView32 wEvil.

Just render using wireframe, printscreen into Paint Shop Pro or another image editor.  Have two layers to work with.  Colorize the one layer.  Blur it.  Do a slight transparancy on the other layer, and you're good to go

Ice gets half a cookie. There are two sets of guns, one behind the ship and one in front; each of these is glowing, which is two layers each. Then there is the ship, another two layers. Then the background, and the text, another two. Eight in total.
