No, it uses Cruiser AI, so you can't order it to dock with anything.  But that's a moot point, since ship AI only has to do with nav, and the only time you'd ever see a Hippocrates manuvering it would be following waypoints.  I think a cargo container with engines can do that.  As for weapons, god only knows why the thing has a beam on it.  It's completely wrong of a (primarily) civilian ship.

From the FS2 Techroom Description
Terrans developed the GTM Hippocrates early in the post-war Reconstruction period. With the outbreak of the NTF insurgency, the GTVA has once again called the Hippocrates into active military service. Its on-board facilities provide state-of-the-art medical care to thousands of patients. Hippocrates also help transport refugees out of contested systems into the safety of Allied-controlled regions. The unusual design of the Hippocrates enables its crew to isolate sections of the ship quickly in the event of quarantine or hull breach.

Not a warship, no matter what AI it has.

It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

Of course they did.  That's why it's even called a medical frigate.

Terran:  I'm going to have to go with the good ol' Orion, followed closely by the Deimos

Vasudan:  The Sobek, but the Hatshepsut is a close second

Shivan:  I'm going to put in a vote for the Demon here.  Admit it; the first time you saw one, you thought it was scary as hell. :D My second here is the Moloch; I can't understand why so many people rail on it; it can kick ass and looks deadly.  The Rakshasa?  Please; the thing looks like a log with spikes on both ends, and it's easy cannon fodder. :p

Deimos, Orion, and Sobek seem to be favorites.  Like ten and a half people chose Deimos as the best.  If it is a tie, or if it is "best of the race" i put it as half a person.  There are about 43 marks on my little "scorekeeper" card.  Twenty-two and a half marks are for the Deimos, Orion, and Sobek alone!

Yeah, people here always seem to take a 'single best' thread and make it into 'best from each species'... tis quite annoying...

The fact that I'm the only one who favors the Orion is SAD.

:o Yes, I vote for the Orion too. Just forget that BS I said about that Hades earlier on. Long live the GTA!

I would have to say Deimos, and Aeolus as second. I like the Rakshasa, even tho its a spikey log. The Molech would be a vote from me.. except i hate them: Every time i find one, their flack finds me, and then i find space firsthand.. so..
And for the Vasudans: Sobek are good, Mentu's are cool too. I named my car "Subek" after sobek, cauze it just... has a feel of one. Looks like one tho it dont.. at all. Heh.

Maybe he thought Sobek would sound dumb, whereas 'Subek' would clearly be regarded as all as being the peak of human civillisation and culture?
