Well, most of our fatties stays in the 180-200 lbs range, very few go further than that.

what we need to do is figure out the total amount of excess fat in each country and divide it by the population.

I have to admit, the first, last and all in-between times I've been in America I've been somewhat dumbstruck by how fat many of the people there were.... there are a lot of fat people in Glasgow, but not to the same extreme.

180 pounds isn't really fat if we're talking about a grown adult (man). Depending on height, you'de probably have to be 230+ to be considered fat (by me anyway)

A cousine of mine went to the US for an exchange year, and when she came back she was almost 50% heavier than before.
According to her she tried to stay away from junk food as much as possible, but the family she stayed with didn't eat much else. And non-junk-food like vegetables seem to be more expensive in relation to junk food.

Actually Clave that's quite an ironic statement: traditionally "Mc"whatever would be of Irish origin, while scottish is MacWhatever.

The differences are rarely seen today, but historically they caused a bit of discrimination.
