I am trying to build a setting for some future missions or campaings. It is going to be somewhat 'frontier' setting where small capital ships, even smaller than normal cruisers would do well. I have already (perhaps scavenger could be the word) acquired reskinned satis and vasudan freighter from inferno that could do well as 'patrol craft' as well as preatorian (really good one) from trashman's collection. So if any has has any spare models lying on their HDs or CDs those would be welcome.

Most designs i have come across suffer from the 'supercapitalship/supership syndrome' and are usually far too large for my needs. As i am not too good with 3D modelling programs (done only some pow-ray stuff and i really don't have enough time to learn anything else) i really could do with some models (preferably with working textures and paths). I have been forced to use retail FS2 as for some reason SCP (current build) is too unstable.  

And yes, i am quite new with FRED2 (done something for FS1 and for old XvT though) and no, i don't guarentee that i will ever finish any campaings as my studies tend to keep me busy.

Check out Hades Combine, they've got a lot of cruisers you can use.

Aldo's Piranha Cutter is quite nice for what you have in mind. He'll probably hate me for suggesting it cause it's quite old though

That, believe it or not, is one I still like (a bit).  IMO it was quite a neat concept, I'm not sure anyone ever used it (in that way) though.

Mainly cos I'm slightly pissed off at the TVW for reskinning it in Orion textures

It's in MG although I don't think any missions have been FREDded that use it.

I think that cutter is very good. I'll have to test it though and tweak the table a bit but it looks great.

If I ever get around to turreting, LODing and making debris for these, I may make on epublic. I think Shadowwolf wants them, though.
