"Fear is my ally" wasn't actually in the first movie - it was in the Duel of the Fates music video that was released alongside the movie.

What's that from?
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

:wtf: What the bleep are you talking about? Samuel Jackson's performance as Mace Windu may have been fairly good, but the character lost all respect I had for him the moment Lucas had him say "This party's over". Corny, corny, CORNY!

Just like all the rest of the crap to have emerged from Lucas's brain in the past 10 years.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Fear can be your greatest ally and your worst enemy.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Oh come on Sarnie, he couldn't exactly start talking Tarantino style in Star Wars - I think he did pretty well. His entrace in that scene was cool.

depends on the fear, there's rational fear (like the normal fears that keep us from injuring ourselves) then there's the irrational fears, meaning fearing something that you have little or no understanding of, and this can lead to hatred of what you do not understand.

such is human nature.

Both the Jedi and the Sith codes had existed before KOtoR.

Mace Windu was a more trained warrior than the EPIV Luke.
Why are you wondering this anyway? It didn't happen. It was Luke that was with them and it happened as George Lucas screenplayed it.

Actually I thought of that myself. I am not into Star Wars. I have no idea who or what these "Sith" are (although I am getting the impression they are bad from various posts :p).

It would be long to explain to somebody who doesn't know Star Wars. In short, the Sith use Dark Force powers and there are always two of them: A master and an apprentice. If the apprentice grows stronger, it can challenge its master to a fatal duel. If the apprentice kills the Master, he will become the Dark Lord of the Sith, in a word, the Master. After mentling the title of Dark Lord, it can train another apprentice. What's surprising is that it's acceptable by the Sith.

Incidentally, apparently the final film...er...final as in the first 3.  Er, as in the last 3 made...er.... you know what I I mean.... is actually very good.

At least according to teletext movie reviews.

Fear.. Nothing bad in it as long as you know you're afraid.
But if you don't.. there goes your so called freedom of choice -- I have to do this, I have to do that, can't do this. This is good, that isn't.. said who, exactly?
