Azureus is good too if you've got the RAM for it.

I use Azureus myself.  It is rather resource-heavy, but it's a very capable program.

I don't know why you're saying that, really. I run azureus on a 1ghz comp with 256mb ram, and I don't really get any slowdowns even after 2 weeks of the computer running, with azureus.

or maybe I actually know how to tune the system for better performance?

I guess it could have looked for other clients on the LAN too :o
Probably can be tuned not to do so...I use Azureus too.

I use it too. Azureus rocks. Although I don't ues it too often, but it gives me better speeds than most FTPs.

The number of companies setting up a BT tracker for their downloads is increasing.

BT is the future. ;)

BTW Azureus needs much ram? I never noticed that... but I don't care on the other hand. I got 1,5 GB Ram, so I think I will never have problems with Azureus. :)

I like BitComet right now, and I used to use Bittornado, which is a nice step up from the stock BT client.

I don't know about you, but I find that it does slow my system down, and I have a 3-ghz P4 with HT and 512 megs of RAM. And I'll be damned if I know how to tweak my machine. :p

I've heard that Azureus works far better with older versions of Java, as the older versions of JRE weren't so much of a resource whore as the newer ones.
