Well, I'm head supervisor for a detasseling company here [hey don't laugh, the pay is hella good for walking around all day yelling at the newbies  ]

well we start tommorow so I'll be gone for a few weeks

Detasseling?

the top part of a corn plant is called the tassel. It makes the pollen

for making hybrids you must remove the tassels from one breed and leave the other breed that will cross pollenate with it's tassels.  So you end up with male and female rows.

Damn! I'd almost forgotten about detasseling. =P I never actually did it because I had some pretty bad asthma when I was in High School, but lots of my friends made beacoup bucks that way every summer. I should have guessed Kazan was a farmboy =P

the other supervisors were girls- except for the other guy and he doesn't have the physical, or mental presence to be "The Drill Sargent".. plus I can fire people without clearing it first
