Good on you then.

But no, not really on the textures.

Even if you can get the ship textured up in blender, chances are you'll loose part or all of the textures during the transfer to TS, so that's not much use.
I find the best combo is Blender for the mesh itself, TS as the heirarchy editor and conversion launch platform, and lithunwrap for UV mapping used in conjunction with Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop to draw the textures themselves.
Anyways, in ultra brief summary: glue a light to the turret
gemoetry as a sibling, and drag & drop that
group onto the hull's
group/geometry via Trueview.
