Are you kidding? I'm not a prodigy.  I had to, and am still using a few guides.  Slowly, I'm learning to do without...I can draw the entire upper body without them.

I think the eyes need to be beadier, and the hands bigger (check out the stills from the lab cutscene - those things are... ridiculous) but it's still a pretty decent bit of work.

I used to spend my classes drwing stuff too. One day my math teacher saw what i was drawing, and said i needed to see a psychiatrist.
My math skills went to hell, but my drawing got pretty good, though.
