Hmrph, all that Witch nonsence is purely that, nonsence...we in the Western world are just fine with our attempted Exorcisms thankyou very much...
what you are shown about what a "witch" is or what a "witch" does is nonsence. most of it a fabrication for propaganda (the inquisition for example) or entertainment purposes (ie harry potter). my view of what a witch is is that of a pagan religious leader, an equivelant to a preacher, priest or shawman for that matter. i consider spells and magic to be the same as a prayer. as for the actual definition of what a wicth is, you can look to the dictionary, it will say "a person in posession of magic" or some similar def. i do not agree with this def. words are subjective. and often definitions are misleading. for example practicioners of wicca often call themselves witches. this seems misleading because you may find that just because you practice a religion does not make you a leader in that religion. my understanding of wicca is that each practicioner is in essence their own leader so in a sence this is true. wicca is of course a recent form of paganisim or neo-paganisim as its often refered. then their are ancient (as in predating christianity and perhaps even judisim) pagan religions still in practice, asatru and celtisim for example, that (by my understanding at least) have witches as leaders of their religions. i tend to frown on conservitives for denouncing paganisim because the pagans out-conserve them by a long shot. as a matter of rights anyone with respect of pro choice should by default respect anothers choice of religion o choice to become a religious leader.
