Notice: I wasn't able to find the uncompressed frames, so I've used the compressed frames. I tried to get rid of the worst artifacts, but I'm still able to see those new frames were compressed twice...

I can render them again, but the frames will be ugly. They require a lot of PS work. So it's no simple task. I'd have to start from the scratch.

Yeah, i wasn't expecting you to redo, seemed like a big job. I was simply stating my preference...

Mabye i should make my own in this case.

To SCP: Those blue shockwaves make me wish for a +ShockwaveTexture in weapons.tbl, give the EMP missile a blue/purple shockwave and everything else can stay red.

Much better than the old one...it's got the one thing that I always found lacking in previous explosions: brightness. Most explosions just don't seem to have any visceral punch, because they have the explosion but none of the retina-frying brightness.

Hmm...I jsut tested it...Nice...very nice..

However i have two gripes with it:

1. Too dark blue..it should be in lighter colours..

2. Planar explosions. I hate them. A shockwave will ALLWAYS look like a perfect circle, no matter from what angle you look at it, becoause it's a sphere. Those angles shockwave get on my nerves.

anyone know where I can find a bluish, non-planar shickwave? Like the original Fs2 one, only more detailed..

Ok, I've picked up a shockwave a made a loooong time ago.
Then I tweaked it in PS.

OO I love the last one...One thing though is that it ends kinda of abruptly. Also, how easy is it to change the colors of it? I like all of the different colors and I want to be able to change them myself if it isnt too hard.

There needs to be something in the SCP to make shockwaves different colors for different types of explosions. I think somebody mentioned an EMP explosion and then the rest be orange, but what about Shivan ships? We don't know what they run on; they might explode differently.

It's amazing how many times I suddenly hear about a feature not working for months.

I haven't had any problem with Printscreen, aside from the odd crash bug, on OGL Linux.

Doesn't work in D3D, though. Come to think of it, D3D doesn't seem to work at all under Linux.

I can make it fade out smoother. Shouldn't be a problem.
It's not that hard to change the colors, though it's quite difficult in this particular case, as the shockwave has more than one color.
You might end up screwing up a few colors in the end.
