Has anyone ever modeled that Vasudan Carrier from the concept art? I know Setekh said Apothess started on one, but never finished it.

It's to nice a ship to be left unmoddeled.

I just started too.






Still have a whole lot too do. Before, I even think about texturing it. I also hope to include a fully modeled Fighter bay.

On the tech side of things, I have decided to call it a Vasudan Battleship, cause I hate Super Carrier. I plan to arm it's front beam cannon with a BFVas, now before I get flamed let me say this will not be a Juggernaut killer, in fact the Sathanas will fry it. Instead it will be for support only, as it will have a very slow speed and much weaker capship beams along the rest of it's hull.

But, it will live up to it's name, with a huge hangar and very tough anti fighter defense. I plan on it's size to be around 3 km long or so.

I think that's a nice idea.

The rear should be more 'fat'.

And you should come up with a new idea for the texture. The concept art looks pretty boring and not very vasudan.

Nice.  But I would say that it looks more like a Vasudan/Shivan hybrid .

Definately make it rounder! I wanted to make this one, too, but could never figure out how to begin.

If you leave it square like this, I'll take your mesh and fix it myself afterwards.

EDIT: Also, not 3 km, please. 2.5 at the most. IMO

In keeping with the Hat's tube-style fighterbay entrances, I'm going for the tube extrusion little more than halfway back on the underside (which appears omitted from WeatherOp's current incarnation).  This could in fact be 2 tubes, but one is in front of the other.  Failing that, I'd put it at the back of the "head", between those whisker spikes.  Of course... I'm not the one modling it.

Just out of interest what is the big round rotatey thing for anyway? Vasudans can't don't wear clothes so it can't be for the laundry
