Uhm. They should keep Vala. The Ori are cool, although I didn't quite get the feeling it'd be easy to justify counter-attacking them from the ep. Sure they're pretty opressive, but isn't the 'religion' true?

no that would be the wraith of atlantis, the unnesisaraly new bad guy who for some unspecafied and nonsisacle reason need to eat humans, who are populateing an entier galixy the goa'uld never knew exsisted. that was introduced to make sure there was absolutely no resemblence to SG1.
though it may be posable that this could bridge the two.

I really dig these guys. I also know why Daniel is afraid - Because despite everything that has come before, there has always been power or technology behind it. The Gou'ald just wanted power and to be worshipped, and used technology to enforce this. The Aurii, however, are pretty much brainwashing everyone - But the thing is, it's true. The religion is true, as any other. At least to them. And people will buy that. That and, the ancients are pretty powerful. AFAIK the ancients don't involve themselves directly, but these "Priors" are obviously enhanced / half-ascended as a reward for their loyalty and good work.

Hallowed are the Aurii. I think I was saying that in my sleep.

As for the Wraith. Well, Stargate: The Wraith Slayer is ok for the moment.

I'm really looking foward to this season, the Doci of the Ori made reference to ships and armies being built to fight the nonbelievers, could be very exiting. And maybe we'll get to seem sort of battle between the Ori and the Ancients on the higher plane

it disturbs me that they indend to have sg-1 fight half ascended ancients in just one season, when it took them several to defeat the goa'uld. its odd that the seemingly weakest enemy was the hardest to defeat.

well that's because we were learning how to fight with the goauld, it started with us haveing nothing, now we are getting ourselves a fleet of bigass battleships, we have a solid military alliance with the Asgard, and we have the city of the anchents Atlantis, and maybe Avalon, I know /*rest of post is spoilers*/ that were going to find an anchent battleship at somepoint, aswell as some weapons that Anubis was makeing to directly fight the anchents

Apparently were to find out in Season 2 of Atlantis that those bugs we saw early in Season 1 and human DNA somehow were merged because of something the Ancients did.  So we see why they still have many human qualities but also totally alien ones.  Not a bad way to explain it...

and who said that the ori are a one season enemy. if it works out and ratings stay strong with the new cast in place, there could very well be a few more seasons in the old girl
