Hey everyone,
I made a new account n-tropy, but it doesn't seem to be working... I don't like this one's name, and I have a new email.
ANYWAYS,
I have been out of the loop (if I was ever in it) for a long while, and have recently decided to re-enter the realm of FreeSpace. You probably won't remember me, I posted a few times when I was going to make a FRED Academy mission, but then opted out. Let me tell you, at first all of this FS2 open stuff was really intimidating, but then I found the FSDoc, and now I'm pretty sure I have everything I need to install FS2 open. I'm psyched to get it working, and so excited that FreeSpace still has such a supportive and encouraging community.
I hope to possibly get back involved with the Fred Academy as an ametuer editor, and definetly try out some user-made campaigns.
BTW, anyone have any user-made campaign suggestions?
Thanks guys

EDIT: Ah, I think my account 'n-tropy' might just be awaiting activation. But I have activated it from the email I received... It's letting my log-in and view my profile on the HLP homepage, but anytime I try to view my profile or post anything on the forum it tells me invalid username.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Well, perhaps if they run across a snag during re-entry, they'll manage to crash-land at sea instead of in solid ground. Although who knows, at the speed they'd likely be going, they're liable to find Atlantis. :D
