The only thing I find a little amiss is that he only got a C for doing that.
Creativity should be rewarded more.
But then again, there are probably other factors that came into the calculation when determining his grade, so what do I know.. :p

Like the report.

As I know from two years of Uni, whether or not the project works/is original/is actually a good idea is totally irrelevant.
You only get marked on how well you can bull**** to the suits. Explains quite a lot about the world, really.

i wonder how many hampsters it would take to power an electric car, only problem is that it would only run when all the hampsters run at the same time.perhaps having a feed system that only releases a pellet of food after the hampster has done a certain amount of running. yep hampsters may be the soultion to the world's energy problems.

I wonder about the mark.  A C. :wtf:  I agree that it should be higher, but hey, the concept was really simple...using motion to power something; it's pretty much the same as using a windmill or watermill, but this time we've got a hamster doing all the work.

You know, it really depends on how elaborately he designed the generator to account for the non-standard frequency and power levels.  I cheap old Nokia wouldn't be THAT damaged by charging it on inappropriate power, but still.  If he actually had it regulated, then he deserved much more than a C.

The lab report and paper that goes with a project is usually worth LOADS more than the actual project itself. I'm sure he just didn't do the paper very well (I've been there...).
