All games with liberal leaning producers will be given crappy ratings?

Abandon ship!

I already posted this on bluesnews, but I'm really bored, so......

[q]     IGN Fox Reviews;
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

Too many Arabs and Commies. Provision of medics and rewarding of teamwork is dangerously liberal and amounts to a welfare state.

IL-2
Too many commies. Implies the US did not singlehandedly win world war 2

Halo
Blasphemy. Has..er...a halo without angels to match. And guns (which are ok to own, but not see in a videogame).

SimCity
Implies any ordinary person can do a better job than Our Beloved President. Clearly an enemy of freedom.

Half Life 2
Encourages liberal rebellion and freedom of speech in a time of danger; implies oppression is not a fair price for security. Clearly unpatriotic.

Sims 2
Freedom of behaviour and choice? The commie pinko bastards![/q]

do not torment the sleep deprived artist, he may be vicious when cornered,
in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,
he will become docile after that,
and less likely to stab you in the eye with a mechanical pencil

It's clever, really.  IGN reviews the games, points out the bits that justified the rating, and FOX News covers the 'outrage' (well, Jack Thomspoons insane rantings).

It's like a perpetual motion news...sorry, "moral outrage"* machine.

*news would imply some degree of factual content, which is against the FOX Philosphy.  We can't have the proles actually getting educated, otherwise they might choose to vote for themselves.

We'll wait and see...but for some reason I have a bad feeling about what's gonna happen to HLP...

Personally I like FOX News.... granted I only get to see it every 2-3 years or so, when I visit relatives in the US, but still. :p

I don't care, really. I remember when GS was solo, before IGN bought them up. What's the difference that we'll be in the belly of an even bigger fish now?

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill
