Hey guys
I just found that
www.softimage.com are supplying demo CDs of XSI if you want to try that.
You can also get demo CDs of maya3.0 (soon to be 4.0) from
www.aliaswavefront.com i think both of these work for 30 days, but it will give you a crack at some serious hi-end software.
Discreet already offer a demo CD of 3dsmax4, dunno about lightwave (i'm SURE someone will correct me on that...)
ALl you have to do is go to the website and put the appropriate details in.
You might get a phone call a month later by some PR person following up your eval period, so i suppose you could just say you're a student or something.
Its not brilliant, but at least its a free, legal way of getting a crack with some very slick and intuitive tools.
