Annoying (but minor) computer issue...
Alright, here's the thing, I downloaded an ISO file, and, upon opening it, found out that it was not what I wanted. No big deal, I deleted the second CD and tried deleting the second, however, every time I try to, it says that the file is in use by another program. I have tried everything, including booting into safe mode, restarting the computer, etc, to try and delete this file, and it always says that another program is using it. I have scanned it and my windows folder for viruses, and found nothing.
It's taking up a good 700 megs of space on my drive, and it'd be great if someone could help me with removing it :)

EDIT: Upon running a system restore, the file has dissappeared, however, I am now missing three gigs worth of space!

Just a shot in the dark here, but did you perhaps load it into a program like daemon tools? If so did you eject or unmount before your next reboot? If you don't have daemon/whatever set to auto start when windows boots the iso may stay loaded on your virtual drive.

Nuh uh, I opened it in ISOBuster and opened it (Daemon didn't recognize it because it's an .exe file). ISO opened it fine, I ran the extractor on the setup program, but later I found out that it wasn't the thing I wanted. I closed ISOBuster and attempted to delete the file, but I could not.
The file is also in an exe format, and I accidentally hit enter on it once or twice, thus causing it to run. When I selected "run as" to try and find the file that it's using to run, it said it had to terminate because it could not create the file. When I searched for the file, I found it not.

Safe mode. (F8 at windows boot.)

And if that won't work, are you running FAT or NTFS?

Already tried the safe mode, and it's NTFS. And I don't like milk :p

Do the safe mode thing again, then hit ctrl+alt+del, and close anything you don't recognise immediately. You'll notice if you kill something important, because you'll need to reboot.

EDIT: And run CHKDSK

Setup captive-ntfs on a Knoppix LiveCD and use that :p

Or there might be some command-line way to do it.

Have you tried killing all the processes you can?
