Since we have a thread about favorite music (again), why not have a poll thread about the second.... make that third best thing in the universe, booze.

So vote for your favorite.

So, on a brigther note, I've got 6-pack of beer that I won today on my hands, and no-one to share it with.

Wasn't that much of a brighter note, now was it?

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

That'd be Wormwood, a hallucinagen. I don't like the taste myself either but if you're going to get drunk I've yet to find something to do the job more efficiently.

TBH I don't drink it much.

I've lately discovered a liking for Southern Comfort and Lemonade.. but I'm not adverse to a shot of vodka, a pint of beer or some wine.

hmm... after taking a look at my current supply, I see that I have 2 bottles of vodka, one bottle of whiskey, 2 bottles of liqueur, and some beer. oh, some cider too, it seems. but that strongbow bottle must be flat now.

What I usually drink is vodka based drinks, especially white russians and ice bears. I like whiskey and absinthe too, tho. It's also nice to have a few beers once in a while.

Last time I drank cider... uuurgh. We'd decided to kill this big bottle of Jim Beam betwixt the three of us, with the girl who's kitchen we were in watching and laughing as we got more and more ****faced. The large hairy chap in that pizza thread of mine was pouring triples in to coffe mugs and mkaing us down them. After the JB was gone, I went back to our fridge to find more alkyhol, only to find there was nothing but Strongbow. So I drank a can of that and fell asleep under the kitchen table whilst verbally abusing my friends and neighbours

Yes, poison of my choice. Absinthe is something I can't drink regularly as my habit of polishing off half a bottle of the stuff (like I do with everything, regardless of %) in the first hour has a tendency to leave me too ****ed to move.

Also, I cannot stomach wine in any capacity, be it red, white or other, I only have to look at a bottle of the stuff to gag sometimes.
