I dislike houses with too many Christmas lights too, but that's because most of them are just 'how many shiny things can I stick on my house' competition entries.

That must've taken a lot of effort to set up, which moves it out of the 'pathetic' category and into the realms of art.

That's been bugging me as well. It sounds like something that somebody like Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen would come out with, but it's piano/keyboard instead of guitar. The other thing that springs to mind is Beethoven's synth-rock-out thing from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, when all the historical figures are going wild in the shopping centre. So I'm guessing some kind of 80s virtuoso type thing.

That's what I thought too; the animations aren't really smooth. Very cool stuff nonetheless.
