Don't tell his family, but I'm not especially saddened.

Hm, well, actually, I am, and I do feel a certain amount of respect for him, I think.
He was a good man who did what he thought was right, like everyone else.

(And I misread this as 'The Lion, the Senator and the Wardrobe' :p)

Wrong McCarthy. Eugene McCarthy wasn't the HUAC one. This one's the 'better' one. Now if you're a Bush-buddy you're probably happy that this guy is dead...
