its an interesting test to see.

I normally prefer to beleive i think "visually" but if i was tested it would probably not be the case.

Neural interfaces are an interesting idea, but the tech just isnt there yet..read my reply to setekhs thermodynamics post.

And what happened if you got a virus?

or if the wires in your head had been messed around with and could puppet your body?

What happens if theres a power surge when you're plugged in?

The FF interface is a good idea but you really would have to be very dextrous to actually work it.  I can imagine it would be easy to slip and press the wrong control :P

Holo diplays exist..theres a prototype glass ball around that works at 60hz, but a useable and affordable display is years away sadly.

Voice recognition wont take off, its too much like using a phone AND I HATE TELEPHONES!

Actually, I think having stuff that respond to voice is cool. I wished it worked for the TV though.

Anyway, imagine, you try to "think" something to your comp, and what appears? Lyrics

you don't understand. you can have 100's of other thoughts in your head, but the only one that goes into the computer is the thought you want to go in because the computer reads whether you want a certain thought to go in or not. it's really quite simple in concept, but hard to explain.

Yeah, but I don't think even in 300 years we'll have a computer that can read thoughts, and can choose the right ones from the wrong ones.  My 3dsMax can't even choose the right edge when I click on one which is over another one lol, whatever I do it will ALWAYS pick the wrong one (there must be some kind od physical law about that lol)

LOL same in TS2. but in 300 years 3dsMax version 147 will be able to create a perfect 3D model just by thinking of a cool ship. it probably won't even be polygons. maybe molicule-sized force-field spheres?

Better yet. We just put on a device on ouur heads, think of a ship and 3D Studio Max will draw thew ship for us. No more modelling. Just think of it. Hehehe
