Right now, to me, it looks more bumpmapped than HTL'd (except for in the untexed images). As a start though?

I like it so far. Make sure you do something with the smaller parts, like the gun barrels and the outer winglets. Polies invested in those will be more effective than ones invested in the general hull, for example.

Maybe this is personal preference... but the whole body of the HTL version looks too jagged... I can't help but feel it should be smooth and rounded rather than staggered as it is?

i have similar feelings
even if freespace is in space and there is no air. The horus always was a veeeery fast aeordynamic craft
and it should staj that way i think

Personally, I don't see anything "aerodynamic" about it. It looks fast, yeah, but it looks like it'll drop like an iron balloon in atmosphere. I think the plates look more aggressive.

Well, option 2 for me, all-out smooth just isn't the Vasudan...
Option 3 would also work, like smoothing the dark grayed section, and "plating" the light-grey colored area...
