For what it's worth, speedfan is a great little piece of software.

Speedfan is good for changing the fan speeds manually, but its temperature and voltage readings are worthless.

These days I use Motherboard Monitor together with the MBM G15 addon. It finally puts the LCD on this keyboard to some use.

gah, this black on black crap is pissing me off. I can't wait for the forum theme to be restored.

Tis for me. My semi-tan doesn't prevent me from the cold!
Especially at night, there is no sun to run to.
I'm solar powered see, doomed!

Whatever Remote2 is, it's utilizing the wrong sensor profile.  If I install Speedfan for the first time on my system say after a reformat, ALL of my temperatures are blistering hot, but because each one of the temperatures is using the wrong sensor settings.  Probe it with another program like Everest, or use the tool that's made by your motherboard mfgr, if they make one.  IIRC, Everest will probe and tell you exactly what sensor chips are in your system, for example, Winbond, or special Asus monitoring chips.  Be sure to select the correct profile for all temps, and you shouldn't see this ever again.

Edit:
I actually looked at my Speedfan profile, and apparently it autodetects all sensor chips it thinks it has seen.  Only two of them get used, and the other four arent.  There are two ovbious HDD sensors that are in use, but yeah.  Find out what Remote2 is through Everest or whatever tool you prefer to use, and you'll be OK.  Just uncheck anything that doesn't really belong, and is abnormally hot.  Keep in mind that if it's over 100 c, that's past the boiling point, no possible way a component would be working at that temperature, unless it's possessed by something..

Oh, by the way: Finland seems to be about the warmest place in Europe currently. *sweats*

22 degrees Celsius in shadow. Only in Belarus it seems to be tad bet warmer. How's temperatures there? :p Interestingly enough, it seems that it's colder in North Africa than here... and it's just the beginning of May.

Who sayeth that the climate is not heating up?
There are three things that last forever: Abort, Retry, Fail - and the greatest of these is Fail.

Heh, was 25' degrees here Yesterday (but  much cooler today).

Odd that this subject should be bumped just about now, since my new X1600 512DDR arrived in the post yesterday, and it hasn't crashed once since installation :D
