Saved By The Bell, in production, for a network dedicated to ANIMATION!?

So for anyone here who watches Adult Swim, did anyone notice the goofy watermarks this weekend?  Did anyone notice the blasphemous broadcast of live-action sitcoms on this channel?   What the hell are they thinking?  A fun new direction?  Keep it animated, damnit!  [as] is the place I go to whenever I want something silly-funny to see, that doesn't take a whole hour or so up of my time.  That, and with all this "live action" crap being put on, puts possible new episodes of Futurama at risk, because if they convert the whole [as] lineup to a mix of old crappy sitcoms that should just be put to rest and current Williams Street animation, there's not going to be any real room for anything else. It's freaky.

AdultSwim.com fans have been quick to share their feelings over the two-week trial run of Saved By the Bell on Adult Swim. Message Board users have come together in an uncharacteristic display of good tidings and cheer to send out helpful messages and memos to the Williams Street staff.

There's a petition floating around too, even though they may not really yield any results, its one more thing you can do to voice opinions.  If they want to bring back old shows and such, how about syndicating Rocco's Modern Life, or air more anime, being the US's prime cable/satellite destination for such shows.
  The whole thing reeks of april fools jokes, but with the airing of live action film, I feel that it's wrong to do so on a network thats supposed to be dedicated to ANIMATION.

Yes, i saw something in slow-mo very briefly while switching thru channels.   Its still disturbing.  I really do not want to see another TechTV->G4 disaster.  Tech TV had class, G4 seems like its made for teenagers who dont fit in or something.  (star trek tng, followed by "the man show" from Comedy Central? WTFFFS?)

Speaking of G4/Tech TV, I hate how they totally tried to turn the channel into something it wasn't, with it's crappy MTV-esque' exterior, filled with guady doodadds and flashing lights. I mean for frick's sake, it was a geek channel, now they have a sort of "pimp my ride" thing on it.
Does anyone have any data on how bad they're doing? IT would give me great pleasure to see them fail.

The whole thing is yet another example of the boys at Williams Street jerking our collective chains; they did the same thing a few months ago by airing "Boo Boo Runs Wild" for several weeks in a row.  They just love to piss their fans off, since they know for a fact that we can't help but come back night after night.  I'm pretty active in their forums, and watching the tirade of invectives spewed their way has been pretty amusing.  As soon as I read that press release, all I could think was, "Oh, you magnificent bastards..."  That, I think, was the real coup de gras.

P.S. I feel a combination of derision and pity for anyone who took that news seriously.  Yeah, [as] really has the pull to bring back together a bunch of '80s teen stars who have tried to distance themselves as far as possible from that abomination of a series since then.
