Bad news, guys. As you may have noticed through the news, the Array has just lost about 40 entries - everything back up to early September. The images are all there - just the entries are gone. This is a bit of a set back    But rest assured I'll be trying to get everything back quick smart. Wish me luck, guys.

I'm going to have to enlist your help here, guys. I can rebuild some (most) of the entries on the Array, but I've lost some of them - if you have offline versions of any Array entries saved on your HDs (eg. through IE's history), please post the information inside them in this format:

  • Entry number (eg. 142 - can be found in the URL)
  • Date posted (eg. October 23, 2001)
  • Name of image (eg. escape-velo.jpg)
  • Caption (eg. Reach Escape Velocity!)
  • Comments section (eg. There's some funky stuff in science where upon reaching relativistic (ie. significant fractions of c, the speed of light) speeds, funny stuff happens. Among these is red and blue shift. Okay, it's a weak science base, but it looks kinda cool, right?  ), including HTML tags if possible (open up the page source and copy the section in question, tags and all).

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help - I can do this all myself, but it's going to be much much faster and easier work if you lot can all help. We've got 40 entries to do, let's get them done fast, mmmkay?

    Cheers guys.

Well, I visited your web site in the office since your web site is so graphic intensive. (Cable connection, that's why. ) I 'll try to look into the Temporary Internet Files Folder.

No promises, Setekh, but I'll try.

I have, if not everything, then alot. I'll try to post the pages up somewhere.

EDIT: Errr.... sorry. I have the complete HTML files from the 12th on, but nothing before that. I'll see if I have anything in Win98's IE5 cache. Meantime, I'll post the file sI _do_ have on DC's site zipped.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Well guys, I'm pleased to say that after one and a half nights of caffeine-induced insanity, it's all back. All 145 entries. So go already...
