they had no womens rings of that design

in the picture one is a size ten and one is a size nine - both common male sizes

The ring looks good but if I was the one who designed it, I will simplify the pattern and use platinum or white gold instead of gold.  Anyway, as long as you like it and that matters the most   Congratulations!  When's the big day?  Can I come?

if you look closely the inner pattern is on white gold, it just has an electroplating of yellow gold which has been given a brushed finish, at low angles the edge becomes very apparently and flashes the white gold

as the ring is worn over the years the electroplating will probably wear off
