Ok...so my "bored" post went pretty well.  Here's a subject that has kept me somewhat busy.  I've gotten interested in cars.  You know...you drive them around on the road.  Got it?  Right?

So I'm making sure I have a very solid grounding of what cars are available on the market, what some of the technical differences are, how they work in detail, what the differnce between SOHC and DOHC is, and so forth.  So for the purposes of this topic here are three questions.

What are you driving right now? (post pictures if you've got em!)

What do you want to realistically be driving in a few years if you plan on getting a new car?

Whats your dream car?

For me I currently drive a 1997 Intrepid.  Not a bad car.  Not great on gas.  Very noisy on the highway from the wind so radio listening is strictly out.  Its not my car either...the parentals .  What I want to drive is one of a few cars that I've been researching: Mazda3, Civic, Jetta, Calibre.  I don't really have a dream car at the moment but one of the Mazdaspeed's or something like that would be fantastic.

I have a job....its fully time computer analyst...but it doesn't pay a huge amount.  Not enough to really get started.

1980 cadillac fleetwood / 2000 mitsubishi mirage

when i get out of college (2.5 years or so) i'm buying a brand new cadillac STS-V.  this has been arranged already, as i've test driven one, got my savings in order, etc... it's my motivation to finish college.  as soon as i'm done, the day i graduate, i'm buying it.

Future; Not really thought about it.  The Vauxhall Monaro is nice (it's basically a touring car), but it's a wee bit far over my price range over the next 5 years.  So probably a nippy coupe at about £20k (bought 2nd hand of course, so it wouldn't be that expensive).  Not planning on upgrading for a good few years, anyways.

Got a Mazda 323f at the moment. Wouldn't swap it for anything in its price range (or even a reasonable amount higher). It a nice car to drive, pretty nippy and it looks like nothing else on the road.

Or volunteering or something....lacking fulfillment for sure.  Its this adjusting to the quasi working world while at the same time being in the same place I've always been in terms of living accomodations. That is to say, quite comfortable but not very different.
